I will be in Tampa by landing. Should I be able to see/hear it monday morning. Any idea where to find time on there. dont see where to look for landing sighting information.

Sounds like you will be able to see it to the south.

I caught it flying overhead this morning--that thing was bookin'!

I went out to look this am but unfortunately, I couldn't see because of the tall trees all over the neighborhood. How far off the horizon was the ISS & the shuttle? (It was supposed to be 24 degree's above it here and flying from SSW to NNE)

What I saw was about 40 degrees above the horizon, headed SW to NE.

Pretty awesome stuff, quite a site. The ISS and Discovery were about a hands length apart in the sky as they came over. It was worth getting up for. They were trucking. Did anyone else see a single bright light about a minute or so ahead of the orbiting duo. Should be able to see it again Sunday morning, but they'll be a minute or so apart in the sky.

I saw it! It was cloudy here so we saw it when it went by breaks in the clouds. Cool to see the two bright lights.

Just found out that the first bright object that came over about a minute or so ahead of Discovery and the ISS was the Hubble Space Telescope. It was a triple treat. WOW! Awesome!

I just saw it here in South Florida. Half the sky was covered wih clouds but the other half was completely clear. they came about 10 full moon diameters away and straight above my head. It was stupendous!

WOW! What a site The ISS & Shuttle just went over as scheduled at 5:41am this morning here in Tampa. It was almost directly overhead moving sw to ne at a good clip. Looking foreward to hearing those twin sonic booms in the morning Monday 8/8) just before landing

It probably belongs in another forum, but if you're in any of these cities, the Space Shuttle and Space Station will appear in the sky between 5:40 and 6:15am either Saturday morning (LA/MS/AL) or Sunday morning (FL/TX/OK). I've only seen the Shuttle streaking across the sky once on its way to a landing in Florida. It was an orange streak that crossed the sky in about a minute followed by 2 sonic booms later on. No problem jimbo. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I went out with my middle kid and we just looked up and saw the two objects cross the sky. We were hoping to catch a sonic boom, but because it was in orbit rather than descending, I guess you don't get one (or two) of those.
