The last time we did this (September 2004), hurricane Frances struck. So if 10 does regenerate, you might as well put up your shutters if you live anywhere in South FL now!

yeah that is an annoying thing to do...putting up those blasted shutters. Fortunately my family and I were able to get those sliding hurricane shutters you can just slide shut in a few seconds. After last year, you can already guess why I got these in such a hurry.

I wouldn't exactly say it's making a comeback NOW, but I think it could well become a TS/H in 2-4 days once it gets out of that dry air and shear. Here's a shot I just took. You can clearly see the low-level swirl of clouds.

Thanks for the pic how far west does 'it' need to get before shear lets up... around 55 or so?

That does look like a nice tight, but naked, circulation.

MWatkins wrote:Looking at satellite imagery at 0415Z (1215 PM EDT) looks like TD 10 may be back. The overall circulation...especially deep convection near the estimated center...is making a strong comeback. I would give 1 to 2 odds (67% chance) in favor of the NHC upgrading the system back to a 30 knot TD by 2PM tomorrow.

We are starting to see some cold cloud tops there....something is doing some work at the surface.

LOL I believe it - hubby and I are headed to Puerto Rico at the end of this week and we'll be gone all of next week. That means it's the perfect time for something to strike either there and/or here
