Current steering flow for weak system vs stronger system...looks like a weak system would go into Central America while a stronger system would just sit and spin

Weaker (shallow):

Stronger (deeper) (note--hardly any steering flow at all):

I dont see this thread with 268 pages as the Wilmas one.

That is because most people that post here in S. Florida are without power.

Make it a Cat 3 and head it north. We'll shoot for 270. After all, us West Coasters near Tampa have dodged the bullet.

For decades now.

And I hope Tampa Bay continues to dodge bullets...otherwise
I won't have much of a home left...I was on the verge of
crying the night before Charley...its sudden right turn into SW
Florida saved us bigtime

Amazing we have dodged 8 bullets since 2004...this fact makes me
feel very thankful for what I have

I pray for all the victims of these monster storms during these
past two monster seasons.

As long as it's well-behaved and leaves the U.S. alone it won't be.

That is one reason. But another is if it turns into a TD this thread will close. Also if it gets into Centralamerica it's over for it.The only way this thread will get at least over 100 pages is if it crawls down there as Wilma did.

It never was...and I hope it never becomes a threat to this area....

I was addressing the fact that Tampa Bay has
dodged so many bullets for 84 years now, we got kind of
off topic.

it looks to me it is headed towards Central America. I don't see what could pull this NW into the NW Caribbean?

Anybody?

Why does the LBAR always look like its on crack? That is just about the silliest model I have ever seen it always does something totally different then what the other models do.
