We are only human I guess. It is hardly the only the only major city in danger. To name a few there is Tampa, Miami, Mobile and of course, Houston, Texas.

Mmm....how about Madison Square Garden? Midtown Manhattan will be safe from surge.

the last two direct hits, I believe, came in August

Also, while the surge would be devastating... the winds experienced by many would be of cat 4 or 5 intensity, because the winds are significantly higher at the top of the high rises, by 1 or 2 categories. Therefore, a cat 3, will mean some people see cat 4 or 5 winds
