Southerngale and Johnathan, no need for any apolizies LOL I think that Claudette is the one who can't make up her mind. Even if she were to bit the dust right now we would still be talking about her for years to come.

Gulfbreezer, thanks for your 6 cents. I think she still has some surprises for us. LOL :bgbounce:

Agreed

I agree, GulfBreeze, that we shouldn't write off Claudette. She seems to be surviving the shear now, and convection is increasing a bit. I notice that the latest NHC track still slows her down to a very slow (too slow, IMO) crawl at days 4 and 5, but I think they have the right idea about a NW track then W-WNW. I just think it'll be south of Brownsville as a stong TS, most likely.

Claudette is one FICKLE WOMAN(certainly not a lady)!!! Excuse my sexist remark here, but just like the women in my family SHE CAN'T MAKE UP HER MIND!!!! DO I? DON'T I? OMH MY WHAT DO I DO!!! We aren't even near the end of the story with this storm IMO and I've already snatched myself bald!!!!

My take is that we will see a strong TS into the Yuc and then when she emerges over the BOC/GOM all bets are off!! Right now I do not see her catching a ride with the trough which means she will be on a more westerly than NW course, which portends ill for Mexico and possibly the lower TX coast. However, if she does intensify quickly after the peninsular trip then it will be another ball game depending on how fast this intensification is and how far South she is when/if this happens.

I agree David...a regular woman. I don't think it's gone either...just need to see if it has enough time to strengthen into a hurricane, which I think it does. ;) Only time will tell of course... ;)

HEY!! WAIT A DOGGONE MINUTE!! Is this gender bias I hear?? :o Let me tell you one thing (ok, maybe 2) You men wouldn't know what to do without women and if you are comparing Claudette to ALL women then I will accept that compliment gladly!! She has survived almost insurmoutable odds and had come through smelling like a rose. She is a fighter and won't give up easily! AND ANOTHER THING............she looks good in RED!!

Ok, I feel better now..........whew!
