The ULL is centered down over Matagorda Bay, but nothing is spinning down to the surface yet. Possibility, sure. Probability, let's watch, but don't hold your breath. Plenty of rain? More than likely over the next several days areas of SE TX could see some flooding rains since this is a "tropical" air mass. Be safe!!

There is rain in Louisiana right now and it appears to be moving NNE. I sure hope we get some here in SW Mississippi. It's dry! NWS in Jackson is giving us a 70% chance tomorrow. I see that circulation you mentioning. Maybe we'll get a nice soaking rain without the stormy scenario!!? :ggreen:

The rain is mostly in western and central Louisiana. Still not a drop in southeastern Louisiana.

Do you know what that UUL is forecast to do? Move ? Disappate?

This is from Jeff Lindner, one of our Pro-mets. This is part of an email he sent out this morning.

Tropical air mass remains in place through the weekend and into early next week as current upper low drifts over TX and is replaced by an upper trough approaching from the west which then cuts-off into a new upper low by Sunday. Area should remain very moist and unstable through the period. Concern is greater for more organized thunderstorms (possibly a complex) Saturday night and again Sunday night which could lead to problems on saturated grounds. The location of the greatest rainfall amounts are hard to pinpoint due to the mesoscale nature….but I would not be surprised if somebody did not end up with 10-15 inches of rain between now and Monday.

I got a burst of rain and wind this morning, but right now it is mostly sunny! Kind of a weird day setting up. Looks like with the sun, we could see some stronger/heavier rain storms later today.

It's been raining here for a while now, with some very loud rumbles of thunder periodically. According to radar, heavier stuff is on the way.

The greater Houston area really hasn't had much in the way of rain today. Heck - we got all the way through 3.5 hours of swim practice this morning with only one rumble of thunder and some dark skies. We need some RAIN.

Steady light rain here in Lake Charles, LA (SWLA)since early this morning. We desperately needed it. The downfall is that there is still alot of damaged roofs with leaking blue tarps sending homeowners scrambling.

We've had a good slow soaking rain all day here in Beaumont. More the next several days as well.

I know. I was really looking foward to a nice soaking, but all I got was a quick shower (in the morning). Hopefully we will get more tomorrow.
