The ULL is centered down over Matagorda Bay, but nothing is spinning down to the surface yet. Possibility, sure. Probability, let's watch, but don't hold your breath. Plenty of rain? More than likely over the next several days areas of SE TX could see some flooding rains since this is a "tropical" air mass. Be safe!!

This is from Jeff Lindner, one of our Pro-mets. This is part of an email he sent out this morning.
Tropical air mass remains in place through the weekend and into early next week as current upper low drifts over TX and is replaced by an upper trough approaching from the west which then cuts-off into a new upper low by Sunday. Area should remain very moist and unstable through the period. Concern is greater for more organized thunderstorms (possibly a complex) Saturday night and again Sunday night which could lead to problems on saturated grounds. The location of the greatest rainfall amounts are hard to pinpoint due to the mesoscale nature….but I would not be surprised if somebody did not end up with 10-15 inches of rain between now and Monday.
