Why would the NHC forecast a storm to hold its strength while passing over mountains..

96HR VT 01/0600Z 32.5N 79.5W 70 KT
120HR VT 02/0600Z 36.5N 74.5W 75 KT


if you ask me they should have been looking for it to weaken to a TD
i think that this MIGHT become a strong TS at most..

I agree with Nexrad. Down to 45mph and counting. I'm surprised they still have hurricane warnings out for Cuba................at 45mph ?? :roll:
