Since 1960 (46 years) there have been only 3 named storms form prior to June. (not including subs) 24 years or about 1/2 the time there has been a storm before July. I really cant see a coorelation between early storms and active seasons. 2004 didnt see a named storm until August.
We are still much better at forecasting path of existing storms than we are at predicting season activity levels or intensity.
You can have everything in place and not have a storm.

I'm suprised with all these May votes! But then again, I'm one of them.

June 25. My usual dart averaging method. I take a June calendar and throw five darts and take the average of the five darts. But in truth I usually hit the calendar with one dart. It happened to be June 25.
I also never accept a dart challenge, I concede immediately. I also only use June, using multiple months causes too much damage.
