yes the only landfalling storm was on the upper texas coast, it had nothing to do with your reasoning. it was a homegrown storm that did not take the path you suggested.


Are you saying that it's landfall location was not dicated by the SE ridge?

Whether the storm was homegrown or not has nothing to do with my reasoning. I said that the storms would either recurve early or be suppressed to the south until the western Gulf. That's exactly what happened as far as I can see.
