I clicked on the loop and the system looked like it was circulating in this fashion.

Weather is nice here tonight with a most excellent sunset from my front porch.

Thanks. Thats looking northwest over back bay. This may not be the best place to be if/when we get another storm. For now, its very serene.

I moved from Palm Harbor, FL (near Tampa/St.Pete/Clearwater) about 2 years ago and wow it rains so much more here in Palm Beach County. I always remembered how afternoon storms would go poof right before getting to Northern Pinellas and Pasco counties. It annoyed me.

Here in Boca Raton, it rains way too much in the summer. You can set your clock to it sometimes -- typically about 3:00 in the afternoon when we are on the west wind pattern. On the East wind pattern, we get night-time (AM) pops that blow in off the Atlantic.....

how different the climate is when you head to south Florida as the close proximity to the Gulf Stream and moist everglades makes a HUGE difference....

This entire mess will continue to move threw florida and out into the bahamas tommorow and as high pressure builds back in it will swing this area back into florida again on friday.

I'll tell ya, it's pretty creey here in Wesley Chapel. The temp seems to have dropped a good 10 degrees in the last hour and the wind is really whipping up. Just a few sprinkles here and there. Overall, just a spooky feel to it out there. I'm hoping we get good and drenched soon!

actually its very typical. I see that all the time. Those storms were over warmer water farther out. In addition they probably encountered some drier air across the peninsula.
