I was a member way back then too! We have come a long way to where we are now. Big thanks to the founding members and moderators who have made storm2K a big success.

Wow it has been that long! I was one of the origninals back then! Hey anyone remember the T-Shirt giveaway contest? I still have mine... It seems to shrink a little more each year though...cough or maybe I am expanding. Oh well, anyway, I remember so many times sitting there cloaked in pursuit of a decent site to follow model runs.
That my ole' friends was like yesterday, I have been through a lot since then, including an almost fatal car crash/brain injury... That too is coming up on 10 years... Anyway, I digress... I'm back and on the forums for the year.
Many, many thanks to David aka vbhoutex who has been a friend all these years!
Oh.. and I was hurricanebob back then on storm boards from Lowes..from Pinellas county..

Never saw this thread before, but I was one of the originals from the Lowe's board also. There are quite a few origianls here nos iirc. It just took some longer than others to get here.

I was at Lowe's with the same name (or maybe louisel) by 1999 or 2000, but not from the beginning. It's interesting to see who was there from the start!
I liked that board but it was nowhere near as comprehensive as this one. Makes me proud when I see what evolved from a small board like that where just a few people talked about hurricanes. We had (and still have) some pretty knowledgable people.
I don't contribute much any more (lost my taste for it, especially after Katrina), but lurk once in a while to find out what is REALLY going on in the tropics.
