Same thing here on Anguilla, rain over night and on and off all day at varying intensities, there certainly is a lot of energy out there. We are at about 2 inches since yesterday morning. Both my cisterns are full the sun can come out now!

5:30 TWO

SATELLITE IMAGES AND SURFACE OBSERVATIONS INDICATE THAT THE AREA OF
DISTURBED WEATHER...ASSOCIATED WITH A SURFACE TROUGH AND
UPPER-LEVEL LOW...CENTERED ABOUT 100 MILES NORTH OF PUERTO RICO HAS
BECOME BETTER ORGANIZED DURING THE DAY. UPPER-LEVEL WINDS ARE
FORECAST TO BECOME MORE FAVORABLE FOR DEVELOPMENT...AND SOME
FURTHER ORGANIZATION OF THIS SYSTEM IS POSSIBLE OVER THE NEXT
COUPLE OF DAYS.

They don't say anything about future movement.

That is true. When there is the first advisory issued, then I will believe it.However, this one looks like a good candidate.

Accuweather seems to believe that it will move due-westward, but I am not so sure.

This area has not moved much since I saw it this morning. If anything it may have centered a little further west.
Strange that the most active area is not in the active forum? The high res IR sure looks like it is getting better organized.

This area is a separate entity. The previous TWD mentioned a 1011 mb sfc low N of Puerto Rico. Additionally, I can see some nice UL cyclonic rotation - click here. Unlike 92L and TD 10, shear looks lower over this area, although there is a defined upper low (SW shear and UL divergence) dropping S per WV imagery. The upper low to the W doesn't appear to be a significant problem, although it has enhanced convection in the area. I still believe caution is a prudent decision. "I'll believe it when I see it." That's the 2007 theme. I'm very wary about developmental prospects when these sfc trough/upper low-induced "areas of interest" form in the W Atlantic and Caribbean - it's another "make or break" situation. 2007 has been singing the "break" tune for several systems. Humberto, Lorenzo, Dean, and Felix were some notable exceptions.
