If not tonight,then tommorow morning Ike will pass Berthas ACE number of 28 and take the lead among individual systems having most ACE numbers in 2008.

Tomorrow; the 10/0300z advisory would have to be 110kt to pass Bertha tonight.

10/1500z, as Cycloneye said, Ike has passed Bertha. Atlantic is 52.355 ahead. In addition, Lowell is a TD so he will not be adding to the EPAC's ACE.

Here's an update based at 11 Sept / 0300 UTC.

Currently, we're 10/5/3 for named storms, hurricanes, and intense hurricanes, respectively. 66.25/21/6.75 are the tallies for days. NTC based on normal activity through today is about 195%.

ACE is currently 107.6675, which is about 112% of a full, normal season. (HDP is at 65.0950) At this time, 2008 ranks 41st overall for most ACE. Projecting climatologically, but weighted upon activity thus far, we should end up around 186, or 194% of normal, ranking us at 10th all-time.
