Strong high pressure is building across the SE US and the system should move west in response to it and probably move over land or out in the EPAC.

Tropical Weather Outlook

Statement as of 11:30 am EST on November 3, 2006

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico...
Disorganized shower and thunderstorm activity...associated with a
weak area of low pressure near the southeast coast of Belize...
remains disorganized. Tropical cyclone development is not expected
due to proximity to land. However...locally heavy rainfall remains
possible during the next day or so across the Yucatan Peninsula...
Belize...Guatemala...and Honduras as the system drifts west-
southwestward. These rains could cause life-threatening flash
floods and mudslides especially over mountainous terrain.

Elsewhere...tropical storm formation is not expected through
Saturday.

OK, what in the heck is the 12Z Canadien locking onto. Alow pressure area developing near the Yucatan and crossing Florida up the east coast? Shows it developing as the strong surfface ridge depart the east coast. 8-) What the heck, one more thing to watch for. 8-)

kinda glad nothing serious happened this year. even though it was a bit "boring" to watch, at least my emregency supplies weren't used up! I'm afraid I might need them more for bird flu now.
