We are watching this system for further development. We'll see more later in the week if the NHC determines the system recon worthy....

I can't get my images up again. How do you pull in the URL of just the image (i.e. http.... jpg) without taking the URL of the whole page?

The Shallow BAM track looks like it would be appropriate for a TD.

Hopefully the GFDL will update soon.

Convection will most likely be on the increase as Diurnal maximum takes shape.

Right click>>properties, and take the URL of the image. Make sure you get all of it, as sometimes the images will have very long url's and you will have to "scroll" within the text label.

Thanks, Windrunner. That's what I needed to know - to take it out of properties. Thanks, pal.

Gee Thanks Luis! :grr:
The timing of this is not good.
My husband leaves tomorrow for a trip off island and I leave Monday for a trip . So if this system does track our way, what is the time estimate for it to be in our neighborhood?
it will be just my luck.. a big blow on the weekend when I am home alone or a big blow on Monday and I can't leave.
:rain:

Oh boy what timing for you.About when we can expect the arrival of this system, what I can tell you is that here the folks of the TV weather sections are saying that by Monday it will be arriving in our longitud. That means that Sunday is the day for you that are more east. But Barbara,it's far away that still many things can happen, from being a named storm,to weaken to an open wave so nothing is like a stone with this.Keep visiting storm2k as the information will be posted so you can plan ahead of time.

Luis, guess where I am supposed to fly into Monday morning? San Juan!
Don't worry, I will be glued to storm2k for the next several days.

Convection still looks decent but respectable outflows have not yet been set up. The dry air still affecting the northern part of this system. The NHC isn't going to jump the gun on an area this far out, but if the diurnal maximum can mirror what took place over night last night then things could be interesting in the morning.

Hi Aric,
The label says AL96 and the date is 03 July 2007 at 18Z. How did you get 95L?

Look at the image i posted and the one you just posted - they're identical!

Don't know how that happened! As you can see on my 5:56 post, I never edited that image. Anyway, glad we're ok now. :)
