GFS also develops the Philippine system near Koror and brings it to TS status in 96 hours and passes it close west of Guam before being absorbed by the much larger Chan-Hom...

It also develops 3 more TC's...

At this point, it's a lock IMO that 94W will be consumed.

Surprisingly the disturbance near the Philippines (96W) has better chance of developing into a TC than 94W. Chan-hom is inching closer and growing stronger but steadily, and soon it will devour 94W. Also, 97W seems to have good chance of developing into a potent typhoon as depicted by the models.

This basin is insane right now as we have 3 named systems and there's alot of potential an these systems but thats what happens when you have a major MJO event in the WPAC

EURO showing Soudelor developing on the tail end of what once part of recurving Nangka...

Image

GFS also shows something developing from the tail end but not one but two storms...Develops the 2nd storm Molave into an eastward moving 979 mb typhoon...

It also shows a CPAC disturbance moving into the basin...Maybe Goni down the road?

I had to requote this from another forum...

Another record in this incredible season...

Enjoy this landscape. It is the first time we see three typhoons simultaneously in the Pacific Northwest since October 24th 1994 and the earliest outbreak of 3 typhoons ever recorded, smashed the old record of July 10th 1972.

The next names on the list looks awfully monstrous...

Soudelor
Molave
Goni
Atsani
Etau
Vamco
Krovanh
Dujuan

Next name to be use is Soudelor submitted by Micronesia...

It's a name given by Pohnpei for a legendary chief...

With the way this season is going, I wouldn't be surprised if at least 5 of them becomes a Major Typhoon...

GFS showing possibly Soudelor or Molave east of Taiwan interacting with that typhoon south of Japan. It all depends on whether the current CPAC disturbance gets a WPAC or CPAC name...
