This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

ENOUGH of the rain and humidity down here! The only time my doors have been so swollen from the humidity was after Georges and Katrina. We can't even open the front door.

Can't WAIT to get up in the Mississippi Delta next weekend for dove hunting and dryer air.

I think this location has the right wind direction to close a low. Its fighting shear and spinning fast with convection starting up, the Mexico one looks like all the other GOM systems this season.

Has there ever been two TDs in the Gulf of Mexico at the same time or hurricanes too :?:

I'm starting to get a little more interested in this area south of LA.

I'm suprised there is no mention...two months ago, NHC would have been all over this. Remember! The GOM stirs up some crazy stuff in no time!!! We'll see....

New convection keeps on refiring in the same general area. Usually these disturbances fizzle out during the evening hours.

Not much is even being mentioned about any of this area on local tv news. I doubt that anything will come of this ~

Rising, not enough deep convection over the area to deepen.

This model shows a weak low that hangs around the northern GOM then drifts west towards Texas probably will need to be watch over next few days.

The gulf seems a little too hostile for anything to get going right now.
Especially where that low is hanging around. Will still be watching tho.

There is broad turning on the western flank of the convective blob. Good inflow from the south and southeast. Could see some slow development, however, upper level westerlies are not real favorable. Little movement likely today...perhaps a slow drift to the west or west-northwest tonight and Saturday.
