We haven't... 67 kt IS the highest we've seen so far at flight level(62 kt got the 70 mph at 2pm).


But if 62 kts gave us 70 mph then wouldn't 67 kts be 75 mph. Or wait-is that your point. Urgh. I'm confused. LOL.

I'm not sure what justified the 70 mph. I wasn't here earlier today when recon was coming in and the increase was made.

Then why did they call this a 70 mph storm with 62 kt FL winds. That only yields 57 mph winds.

Actually 61 mph.

But, again, I'm not sure what justified the increase. Someone here during that time would have to answer that.

SFMR data... the same data that said this had 120 kt winds a few hours ago. :roll:

I didn't catch the very first obs as I came online after 8:30 but yes by looking at the positions it looks like or from PR or from ST Croix.
