Ok let's wait for the recon reports that soon will be available to see if this is officially a TD or not.

Slow movement, low shear, and warm waters equal another massive hurricane......another CAT 5 for the season.......could be possible.

Why has the NHC not put up an advisory yet?
98L is the disturbance near Jamaica. No one knows yet what its trajectory will be, models are split, but it will in all likelyhood be a land hitter. Hard for it to be a fish in its current location.
NHC has not put out an advisory because its not an official TD yet, recon will tell us in a few hours though and if it is, advisories will be initiated at 5.

Upgrade to Flash Flood Warning
A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for all parishes.
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING means flash flooding has been reported or will occur shortly.
Motorists and pedestrians should not attempt to cross flooded roadways or other low-lying areas as strong currents are likely.
According to the Met Service there is an Area of Low Pressure south of Jamaica.
The Met Service says this system continues to become better organised and tropical cyclone formation is likely later today.
Doppler radar reports and satellite imagery indicate that light to moderate and sometimes heavy showers and thunderstorms continue to affect sections of most parishes as well as inshore and offshore areas of the north and south coasts.
The forecast is for showers and thunderstorms, which may be heavy at times, to continue affecting all parishes Saturday and into Saturday night.
