I think this is classic home brew..should push wsw/sw across south central/south fl and into the gulf by monday afternoon...looks like LA to the panhandle may be dealing with a TS....

Nam has a stronger ridge. Euro shows a weakness and heads into Nola...

If the stronger ridge verifies then it looks like Texas. NAM shows the weakness over SE TX at 72 hours.

Nam seems to be faster...Euro even moves this North and Northeast after landfall. Should be interesting to see this evolve...

Fun few days ahead. I've seen the NAM do well at times especially in the beginning stages of Tropical Development.

This seems really similar to about a month ago that spawned 90L, I think? The one that sure looked like a depression or even minimal storm as it made landfall in south central LA. I don't know if we will see much development, hopefully some good rains to supress this heat wave we are having. Has a lot to overcome though, besides the trek across florida. As we have all seen so far this season the gulf waters can be boiling but it is just a small percentage of things that need to come together to get some nice development going. Also by tomorrow the models could shift and have this potential system moving in the florida panhandle before it has a chance to do anything.

GFS pretty similar to Euro although it really doesn't develop it.

This is complex situation with this developing from a stalled front. Exactly what angle this comes off Florida and where it sets up will determine where landfall will be. A lot of people don't know about this yet and isn't that far out...
