Except that this year the atmosphere over the GOM is different than the last few years, over all so far this year the shear has been running below average and most important instability has been much higher than the last few years.

I'm not so sure about that. Shear across the gulf and caribbean has been pretty brutal overall except the times it drops for a few days at a time. In fact look for it to increase even more next week when our friend the east coast trough sets up. And like miamiwx said its always hot in June, we're flirting with upper 90's here in South LA and it doesn't lead to anything above normal in the gulf.

Not to get off subject from this thread but just wanted to show you the graphics below that show that since the middle of May overall shear has been near to below average over the GOM with Instability average to slightly above average, but most important instability has been much higher than at least the last 4 years if not longer across the GOM.
Conditions over the Atlantic Ocean east of FL over the Bahamas on northward has also been better than the last few years with shear below average and instability near average since the middle of May or so.
These two spots are going to be the hot spots this year, IMO.

I take Vshear below norm is good(development) and Vinsatbility high is good(development)?

:uarrow: Basically all in all anything north of 20N in the Subtropics is at least somewhat favorable to favorable for tropical/subtropical all season. South of 20N is the complete opposite nearly with hostile conditions and plentiful SAL and dry air.

Maybe im missing something. But to me on wv loop it looks like the wave is way north and yet the NWS says south of florida.

the
main energy of the wave is expected to remain south of the region
with the only impact being some moisture/cloudiness on the
northern periphery of the wave.

Dont worry that tropical wave will dry up before it ever gets here. Its running into a stabile atmosphere which is preventing us from getting rain.At this point Id rather live in Arizona.

driest start to the rainy season since 1952...no rainy season really on the east coast..the ridge has been locked in..this weekend looks like a chance and then the ridge returns monday and well beyond..not a great patter for florida IF a tropical system is approaching from the east..however, tropical formation will be limited at best this year

That is so rude, and I don't usually post to rudeness but yours takes the cake. Since we don't know where you are from? If you can't say something intelligent or nice, well you should know the rest.
The southern states are very important to where a storm will hit, then go to you.

I am in Florida, Pensacola to be exact, so if anyone knows about riding out storms, I do. And yes, i am tired of looking on all the threads of SE Florida people complaining about no rain, it gets old. We all know it is dry, we don't care. It will eventually rain, it always does. I have said my peace on last time and will not take up any more board space with off topic posts.
