It won't happen barring a strange turn of events. However, that would be a good case of catching people off guard - June 1 was the date for preparations to finish.

I really doubt this will develop, but it is an interesting system.

I don't buy the June 1 magic date for activity; I find that to be just an arbitrary date set conveniently on the calendar. I still wouldn't be surprised to see a May tropical storm or hurricane...most likely in the Gulf.

I know that. Some bouys are even reporting 84 degrees, but this is not getting into the gulf...it's virtually impossible.

never say never!

They were saying Katrina would go into the big bend area of Florida... remember that?

I think we should all pay close attention to this.

That was in August. We're talking April--nearly May--here. The current conditions are way different from the heart of the season.

Take a look at the loop....going east. What's coming for us this weekend that will give us severe weather tomorrow? A front. It's not getting in the gulf unless it pulls one hell of a circus move, and even then, it probably won't even be around long enough to do so.

People, is April, there is a lot of time ahead of us to get "excited" when something pops. The reality is that development possibilities for this system are less than trying to bring the oil price to the year 2000 levels.

There's really only 1 place for it to go...north - northeast according to this.
