I thought storm2K was a goner,so I tried registering on the hurricane hollow forum.I'm still waiting for someone there to approve it :roll:

I don't post too often, but I do come here several times a day and because I had NO CLUE as to what was going on, it was very upsetting. I began searching other boards, but it wasn't the same. Funny how dependent we can become to a web-site!

PLEASE, don't ever do this again or you're going to the naughty circle young man. As a Gulf Coast resident you are my lifeline from May thru December. Seriously, thank you for all the long hours and hard work to get us up and running again.

Haa, I was searching on google to see if storm2k members were meeting somewhere else on a backup site...no other place had discussions like this place

Hmmnn... there was an article on RECORD PRODUCTIVITY in my local paper this morning. It seems like more was accomplished at work during the last two days than for the entire of the 2005 season. Must have been people surfing S2K all day long instead of working!

I don't know how much you can accomplish if you're checking every 5 minutes to see if the site is back up, and suffering withdrawal symptoms the rest of the time. :lol:

I wonder if there isn't some way somebody can find or set up another forum temporarily if this ever happens again.

I agree with y'all--- glad Storm2K is back! Thanks for all the hard work to get it back up and running! And thanks Southerngale-- I went back to the Palm Beach Post site and saw your post about the server problems. BTW, I hadn't been to the Palm Beach Post board in a long time. It's definitely not as active as Storm2K (not a surprise, really).
Glad everyone is back together again!

I haven't been posting as much so far this year, but I have been lurking/reading forecasts for this season, so it's like I've been entirely inactive. Can't wait to discuss the systems of '07!

I echo everyone else's sentiments - I was in severe withdrawls without my S2K! We love you guys and thanks SOOOO much for all the hard work. I am very glad you got that out of your system though, as that was your one major outage of the season

It does, indeed. I think it's a combination of the site being back up and the possibility of a tropical storm forming on the first official day of the hurricane season. We all get a bit giddy when a Special Tropical Disturbance Statement is issued. It can seem like a party atmosphere... until a storm turns nasty. Then, we all get serious. So, we should enjoy it now and pray we won't have to get serious for a loooooooonnnnnnggggg time.
