If any disagreement is viewed as an attack here, then I'll be pretty speechless, because I'll be banned.

Isn't a false accusation an attack in itself?

Discuss amongst yourselves.

First, the admin has said that BB can post his threads here. It's not hurting anyone. If you don't enjoy his posts, move on.

With that said, BB, just because someone questions your methods, it does not mean they are attacking you.

Hopefully this thread can simmer down. I have crab and mango to eat...

Crab? Don't you know that some fisherman in Alaska gave his life so you could dine on that crustacean?

BTW...we got our online CBT...training records in the mail last week. It looks like a riot.

I am using metephysics in its loose terminology...things that are beyond the physical world...beyond the world of science...and spiritualism falls into that rhealm. I am not referring to the Aristotle traditions.

Good Lord! I remember the good ole days when the thread with the most activity was often the thread with the most importance. This is crazy. Everyone is getting pissy.

As for Berwick Bay, he is a bit different. I am by no means defending him (poets aren't really my style), but just give it a chance.

If he blows the next few "forecasts" no one will pay him any attention, and he will likely be instructed to post his poems in the Off Topic forum.

I do think that the Pros on here should keep him in check until he has his own following (based on his performance), and probably for years after that. One storm does not make a pro.

Lucky? Maybe. If this does not verify, how much longer will I read his posts? Not long.

Some animals do react ahead of impending natural disasters, I've seen that myself. But they won't tell you what the impending disaster is, thats where we depend on Satellites, radar, obs, seismographs, e.t.c...

And I would venture a guess that not one animal reacts before the disaster has begun to manifest itself in the physical world in some way. Do animals act BEFORE an earthquake? Sure they do...but they are obviously reacting to something physical we can't sense or observe yet. Do animals react before a big hurricane? Yep. Do they start reacting before a TD even forms? Nope....but computer models do. The satellite can show you. The shear maps can tell you that it looks ripe.

One day we will develop sensors to sense the things the animals sense...then it won't seem so mystical. Good post.

Yup... and the crab was delicious. My wife wanted crab from dinner, so we went to one of her favorite Asian markets and picked some live crab. Crab, Philippine mangoes, Sap-Sap fish, and rice!

Berwick, please don't do this again. You have a lot to offer and I really appreciate your input but, please, back off, turn the volume down and chill. We've got a long season coming up and I'd like to know you were going to be on this board throughout but I think that's up to you.

Now you've got me curious. I wish I knew what road you had been down with him...

I had been ignoring this thread b/c it sounded like something I wasn't too interested in, but then I finally gave in just a few minutes ago. To my surprise, when I clicked on the link I found a continuation to the arguments from earlier today and a whole 3 pages of writing in just 2.5 hours. This is crazy! You guys need to just move on, ignore each other and get over this. There has got to be better things you could be doing right now than going back and forth on an internet weather forum about something that is really so insiginifcant. If you don't like BB's methods, just skip over his posts. It really is not that hard.

Also, all this food talk on here is making me hungry. Crab? fish? popcorn? I think I better go get myself a nice evening snack.. lol.

Who are the people paying the bills to keep this site going? It's the people's board. And my paypal payment will be coming soon!

It's definitely worth supporting this site! And yes, it is the people's board.

Well...if you are a voice who can't get along...i.e. some in the past and I won't name names...then you will lose. BUt I don't think you are...

So...if you are not a trouble maker like the ones we have dealt with in the past...then you are part of the peoples board. If you do not know what I am talking about in my quote...then maybe you shouldn't comment....and it is obvious you don't because you lumped yourself in with the ones I was speaking of. I was responding to a poster who basically told me to go somewhere else...to another board. He misread what I said and took offense...because in my opinion this board...whether it is the people's board or not...is not the place for the type of forecasting that happens by the village elders. That is what I meant by my comment. Want to throw in some science? Sure...we can handle that...but if you put it out there expect it to get swung at.

And there were fights in the past over these very issues...and being a "people's board" doesn't insolate you from criticism. Over-reaction to criticism is also a sure fire way for more of same...
