Really? I dont wanna sound stupid but could you guide me through that process of ignoring a user? Not that I wanna ignore anybody but just in case you know.

skysummit wrote:Look....there are two groups here. One that continues to monitor what's left of this Invest because there's SOMETHING STILL THERE. If it was completely dead, the dry air would've eaten it up 2 days ago....but no, there is still energy there, and still a circulation. Sure, it's going through a desert, and upper level winds are becoming increasingly unfavorable, but that even makes it more fun to watch. It has had a decent battle so far...can it continue? IF, that's a BIG IF, this makes it to the western Caribbean in tack some kind of way, it'll have to be watched. As you can tell, I'm in this group.

The other group is "it's dead", "stick a fork in 96L", and .....it doesn't pay to watch stray clouds crossing the Atlantic, or something like that. We get it. You don't believe anything will come out of this, and you're probably correct. If you do not wish to follow the progress of this invest, then simply don't respond. There are a couple other features our there for you to follow. Why wait until the season picks up to track anything? It IS hurricane season and has been so since June 1st. I, for one, as well as many others in here, really enjoy tracking the tropics. It doesn't have to be a Cat 3. A wave is nice...this is how you continue to build up on your tropical knowledge.

You are entierly correct. That is the reason to have storm2k and this Taking Tropics forum. In here we learn many things that you didn't know before about the tropics. You can voice different opinions about a system or other themes,of course without any namecalling etc.And also you make many friends who are enthusiastic tropical weather fans like you.But the most important thing is that you get the latest information in a rapid way, even before the media gets it. :)

could not have said it any better... i like to watch every little .. thing.. because there is always something to learn..
as for the people who are getting mad at skysummit because he or she asked that if you dont think its going do anything.. there is no need to say it over and over.. as for the people who watch everything as I do .. just ignore them.. and enjoy the watching and learning.. and that should be the end of it.. not talking about anymore... :)

as for 96l there still a circulation and since there is still is ... at a minimum there is a small chance.. regardless of how small .. it still exists.. if its now or two days from now.. happens all the time.. waves travel across the atlantic but dont form until they reach the western carrib.. or atlantic.. and thats a fact.

"there" posts? I've seen some interesting alternate spellings of words here recently. Like "threw" when "through" was meant, "bye" when "by" was intended. The spelling of a word does have an effect on its meaning. I apologize if some of you do not speak English as your native language.

Speaking of misspelling, regarding this invest I would say "stick a fork in it, it's Dunn..." ;)

:) I was definitely surprised by how long the system was holding together, but amazed how it was sheared apart so quickly overnight. But the potential is still there until the wave is gone. I am in no hurry for the naming of the C-word!

The problem with that is when your resume arrives at the desk of a potential employer it'll go straight into the trash can. I've tossed such resumes into the trash without a second thought. Using the wrong word is even worse than a misspelling or an accidental typo. There is quite a big difference in the meanings of there, their, and they're, or buy, by, and bye. Attention to detail is always very important when writing. So write however you want, but such bad habits may cause you problems in your future career. Just some friendly advice.

96 would be a definite player if we didn't have a repeat of the 2006 "ghost system effect" showing up again where strong players seem to dry up and lack the juice to get going. Looks more like dry subsidence than upper winds this time.

This one has such a strong circulation and pattern that it bears watching until it poofs. If 2006 effect is lingering this one is already toast. If we see a sudden change in moisture in the Caribbean we could have a much more dangerous system entering the yard than people realize. Instinct says too dry and no need for hyperbole yet. Got burned last year thinking 2005 conditions were still in place.

I'm up in New York watching from here.

heard seen it and done it.. personally the way it all works.. is sad enough as is.. its about the writing its about the person.. and dont even give the crap how you can tell a lot from the way people write.. lol it says nothing of the persons abilites ... and writing is the least of my concerns . i have run large construction job .. large contracts with a lot of money involved samll business i've been part of management in more that one occasion. and i would never toss a resume away because of some typos.. i have had so many great employees that have had questionable resumes.... its a typical thing to follow someones lead .. and do things that other people do (like worrying about typos :)) and less typical to have a good person who had some typos.. lol anyway hows it going

oh and I actually won two awards for my writing skills throughout school both in high school and undergrad.. that is a perfect example of why it tells you nothing of importance when some makes typos.. the times are changing..

I'll echo miamicanes' sentiments. You can feel free to start a thread about spelling and grammar in the OT section.

Any future off topic posts in this thread will be deleted.

By the way... awsom grammer and speeling u got ther Regit.

Looking at the Latest Visible, you can see a hint of a circulation... However it does appear to have that classic inverted V shape to it now. Perhaps with more convection the circulation can get going again... But it's definitely loosing that westerly component to the circulation.
