Question:

Does anyone have the ability to tell me how strong Andrew's ridge was in 1992 compared to the ridge we have right now? If one has a decibar comparision, that would be most helpful.

NOTE: I AM IN NO WAY COMPARING KATRINE TO ANDREW INTENSITY WISE-ONLY RIDGE WISE.

The NEW 00z GFDL still does the crazy south movement.

Not sure of the intensity yet.

my dogs are restless tonight. If they ever get up in the middle of the night i take them out b/c they got to go to the bathroom. Tonight i have taken my 6 mo. old puppy out and all he does is just sit outside in the grass and whine. seems like he senses something is out there

yea, it's pretty wild how animals can detect pressure drops in the atmosphere. I guess it's kinda like our aches and pains. We know something is something :).

The 48 hour position of that model is directly...over...my...house. 25.0 80.5

Not worried, it's a TS. But if it strengthens, I will know that the weather God hates me.

Good thing I've got gas, and cash, and doggie downers. Bear (chow mix mutt) has been as a little restless, and he never notices weather at all.

Not sure I would notice a difference in mine! lol. They always act strangely. I must admit we displace them to a "safer house" early on if there is a threat.

Western side of the circulation is still having trouble wrapping around according to the Miami radar.

Note:

The 00z ECMWF runs north up the gulf coast of the Florida Peninsula.

That may encourage the NHC to shift track to the right some more....

I noticed it was having trouble closing up. Looking at WP loops, I think that will be a short term problem. What do I know? Very Little. I appreciate the thought of those with more knowledge.
