Ernesto looks like he was in the process of trying to close off an eyewall to me. You can see the larger ring on the outside to the north looking very buzzsaw like. You can see inner core developing a new line wrapping around the center from the north to the south and the outer ring around it looking very good. Ernesto is looking exteremly organized and it's a good thing he didn't have much more time over the warm gulfstream...
Conditions in North Carolina should continue to deteriorate in the next couple of hours as the core of ernesto begins to make its way on shore.
