QUESTION:

The winds measured by the RECON plane were in the South quadrant, is not the NE quadrant the strongest one?

Well, usually, it is. However, this storm has had its highest wind in the S or SE quad for the past few missions.

Yeah, but it's the SMRF that really measuring the ocean waves. Not actuallly winds themseleves. I just saw another report of 57kts at the surface.

Right, that's my point, they should not be considered accurate wind measurements. Just clearing it up for anyone who might think otherwise.
