I am honestly very surprised that at the very least Franklin and Harvey haven't been posted. The others I can understand....
There's debate over Emily's intensity (it may have been a C5).
I think I've heard of debate over Rita's landfall intensity. I believe the debate is it may have been a C2 vs. the C3 operationally set if there is one.
There were few damage reports related to Beta at the time it struck. There HAD to be some damage related to Beta.
And Zeta was the most recent storm. Still, this one could come out soon too.
But what kind of debate is there about Franklin and Harvey? Sure, Franklin had 70 mph winds, but if I recall, it is quite clear that Franklin was not a hurricane. And apart from forming in the Bahamas, and briefly threatening Florida and Bermuda, Franklin did just about nothing. And Harvey only made a very brief threat to Bermuda before heading out to sea.

Agree 100% with your points Andrew especially why they haved not released Franklin and Harvey.
It has been more than 2 weeks that only one report has been released in that timeframe. But let's be patient because sooner or later the 6 reports that are left will be out and surely before June 1.

I think it's bordering the ridiculous. Six months and still we haven't received the report on the third greatest impacting storm of the season on the US.. Rita. It hit about 3-4 weeks after Katrina, and now some 3 months AFTER the Katrina report, we're still waiting on Rita's.

They're in the business of logging, charting, keeping track of, and "reporting" on these storms. A consequence of a job well done might be that lives can be saved; but the individuals who physically save lives are those first responders, be they police, fire dept. Red Cross, or just a very valiant and helpful neighbor.
I'm not about to slight the work they do, it's a tough job at times; but like one can tell a policeman, a fireman, a teacher, or a member of the military--you knew what you were getting into when you took the job--or you should have.
It'd be nice if we all could take "as long as we want" to do the work for which we are paid.

but now that it is down time...they can take as long as they want...
Must be nice. But I still doubt they can take "as long as they want"... unrealistic, as I assure you should they "want" to wait till next year or later, someone will take over their "mission" who just might "want" to do it in a more timely manner
I applaud your mission statement--and stand by my assessment of just how it may be achieved.
