Station 42058 went adrift on 07/19/2006 and the last report from its moored position was at 2243 GMT. The 0542 GMT position on 07/28/2006 was 14° 52' 56" N 78° 45' 54" W.

I wonder if this drift is causing false data output. If its drifting with a fast current to the east, it would be subtracting from any east component of wind direction data.
