Development probably isn't the most likely solution but you can't rule out something that has a decent MLC, much depends on what the ULL to the NE decides to do.

Pressure down to 1009 in Campeche so something may be trying to form at the surface

If 99L got invested then this really should, esp given the possible track and the fact this one actually does look pretty decent right now. Could all implode if it doesn't get to water but could well be invested tomorrow if this keeps up.

Down from 1014 this morning. I agree this is probably worth an Invest. Could happen overnight.

Hmm, this needs to be watched IMO...that loop does look almost like a LLC b/c there are some cumulus bands swirling around that 'center'. I wonder how it will interact with the upper low to its north? Will it shred it or ventilate it?

All depends on what the upper level low does in the Gulf but this one has a chance IMO for sure...

Wow this season really is turning into 1936 with all these possible west basin systems.

one thing I did find interesting about this was it spit out a low level eddy to the NW earlier....so maybe there is some credence to how close this is to the surface...

Whether or not its at the surface I'm not sure abovut, I'd be surprised to be honest other then maybe the odd eddy. However its got a good presentation and when you see systems coming offland looking decent enough then you do at least need to pay attention to the.

Visible loop: http://wwwghcc.msfc.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/ge ... mframes=25

Speed it up. Looks like a lot of potential down there, but it's headed in the direction of the ULL and pretty quickly.
