Has alot to do when it develops. If at all. Early models runs on Isaac had it as a fish storm. I wouldn't pay much attention to early model runs.

Up to 20%

2. A LARGE BUT DISORGANIZED AREA OF CLOUDINESS AND SHOWERS ASSOCIATED
WITH A TROPICAL WAVE IS LOCATED ABOUT 350 MILES WEST-SOUTHWEST OF
THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS ARE FORECAST TO
BECOME MORE CONDUCIVE FOR DEVELOPMENT OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS.
THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW CHANCE...20 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL
CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES WESTWARD ABOUT 15 MPH.

A tropical wave extends from 21n24w to low pres near 13n27.5w
1011 mb. Scattered moderate convection is within 180-240 nm in
the NW quadrant of the low. Fresh to strong winds and 8-10 ft
seas accompany this low and these conditions will persist
through the next 48 hours as the low and tropical wave continue
westward at 15-20 kt.

What is a "fresh" wind... does it smell like Irish Spring out there?

12z Euro curves it before the islands

Chances are I am taking a less than educated guess that sounds good because 10 years ago I stole Mike Watkins book 'The Hurricane and its Impact'. Every model has forecasted every developing system in the eastern atlantic to recurve because they believe it will strengthen and in reality we haven't seen anything stronger than a weak TS so far in the MDR, leading for them to go through the Caribbean.

This wave seems to be coming together a lot better, with more cloud coverage getting tighter around the low pressure system which is labeled pouch 20l at this time .

The big question is if future 98L will sneak west under TD 11 or will follow that one.

Looks pretty good. Decent convection and spin. Doesn't look like a fast developer, but from the looks of it now I'd be surprised if it didn't eventually. MJO be damned.
