Let the blob watching begin! Yup seems same general area you mentioned. Model support from Navgem 00Z too. CMC does a dancing cyclones ballet but suggests this will form too.

Under the assumption that this topic may be moved. I will continue to post here. Unless I am wrong?
Looking at the vis satellite imagery, it looks like 96W covers a pretty large region.
