No development expected because being over land but already a very wet morning in North FL and southern GA this morning, stay dry northjaxpro!

What's going on in the NE GOM this morning? Big cluster of convection with rotation seen on radar offshore between Cedar Key and Clearwater.

That just appears to be a dying mid level vort max rotating around the low pressure trough over north FL/southern GA.

Yeah NDG we are getting absolutely drenched this morning. I have already received nearly 4 inches of rain total to this point already, with nearly 3 inches of that which fell alone last night within an hour . This system is super moist to say the least. We will have rain all day long and into tonight. If they haven't already, I am sure NWS will post Flood watch across the entire North FL and Southeast Georgia area as this surface Low/ trough is drifting very slowly. It is the slow movement of these cells that are really dumping heavy rain across this area.

Looking at the radar it appears the low is moving away from the coast at the moment.

There is definately some sort of surface rotation but it's looking less likely that it'll get back over water before getting north of the Carolinas (and thus into cooler water.)

I is spotty, just south in St. Augustine, we have had NO rain out of this system. 2-days of 70% chance of rain and nothing.

I wish this low would scoot out already, it's not doing anything but pulling rain away from where I live.

Most of the Orlando area has gotten drenched during the past 3 days, most of the area has averaged a good 2", chances of rain are now forecasted to stay high through Tuesday before drying out some by Wednesday before another possible wet weekend.

Raining heavy again thid evening at my locale. Since Friday, I have received nearly 6 inches of rain from the system. Grim, many areas of Jax and other areas of North Florida ans Southeast GA has received some very heavy rainfall since Friday. It is hard to fathom that you and SeGaBob haven't hardly received any. Trust me, I have had more than enough at my locale. Wish I can send some to each of you.
This Low/trough has been a very slow mover and more rain is expected for this area tomorrow.

I live near Athens in Georgia, and we're finally getting some nice rain rotating around the northwest edge of it, over a half inch today (this is after weeks of dry weather)

It appears I finally got about an inch of rain last night.

If that was over water it would have been home-brew.

Here in Atlanta my rain gage measure 6inches overnight...seems rather localized though. Im not sure its influenced as much by this system as it was thunderstorms that developed and didnt move...but 6 inches is A LOT of rain and the thunder was constant all night

Yeah, had this system tracked off the NE FL coast northeastward up the coast, this system probable would have been at the very least a tropical depression. Instead, it tracked just inland up the coast to where the Low is currently locatd, which is located over inland SC. However, it has bought my area and other spots across North Florida and GA rainfall amounts from 5-13 inches in spots, especially across the Suwannee River Valley of North Florida. I ended up wih just under 6 inche total for this system.
