Tampa Bay...

#69 Postby CFLCaneWatcher » Tue Sep 07, 2004 12:56 pm

Although I sure DON'T want to see it, as I have been through two canes in three weeks, I see Ivan picking up Charleys path just South of the Isle of Youth as a Cat 4 then following Charleys same path. I don't think looking ahead 5-6 days that the conditions expected in the GOM will allow Ivan to lean West anymore than the Eastern GOM. I think it will come close to the Keys but ultimately land in the Tampa Bay area. I just hope after Charley and the cry of the wolves, that the masses there will still take heed to the warnings and get away. I hope that I am VERY wrong but this is just the way I see it. There is nothing more that i would like to see than a sharp NE turn and then out to sea.

Galveston - Mobile. I just have a gut this is a central GOM event. Hope I'm wrong.
