Another wobble north in a very mild recurve.
Gusts are shaking the house here because of our stilts. I guess in the mid-40mph range...
This should be the worst we see. We haven't had any rain except some showers earlier in the afternoon. We beat yet another one to the weak dry side...

I've seen a little wobble, but the overall motion still seems to be due west...
The wind is picking up pretty good now, about 25-30 MPH sustained.
Pressure has dropped to 29.38 and still going down.... now getting rain squalls, and it looks as if a strong band will be coming through the area within the hour.... staying here till the power goes out

I have to admit it looks more west again. You guys are 20 miles closer to the center than me, but we take straight winds off the Gulf here.
Could push up in about 2 hours if it doesn't start that curve again.
If it doesn't pull-up Babcock Ranch will take 70mph in heavy core bands. Arcadia will be shell-shocked...

Sanibel...
Pressure's dropped to 29.36, now with sustained winds of 30 MPH, gusting to 45. Still tracking west from what I see (not a wishcast by any stretch)
Each hour that passes makes the likelyhood of a GOM entry more southward than forecast.
Note... I'm not a met, nor do I play one on TV (and no...I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night either.. LOl)

Kevin, he's already short and skinny and hates it. Everytime we take him to eat somewhere, he gets so mad because they hand him the kids menue...lol! He's 13, but, people always think he's 9 or 10... I'm sure your parents and family are very proud of you, with good reason! So many kids your age are out doing horrible things! Keep it up and you'll go far!

I don't know, I just went out and brought in my garbage cans, which I'd forgotten to do, and it didn't seem too bad out there. Gusty and spitting rain but really not as bad as I'd expected by now. I know they said it would be getting worse here by daybreak, and I suppose a lot will depend on whether the northward trend continues or not, and if the storm stays strong over land as it has been so far.
