I have voted now. It was hard to choose between Katrina and Wilma but Katrina gets it. That's because of the impact it had on me the first time I saw it at peak. Wilma did the same come to think of it. Wow, Wilma and Katrina are tied almost. I was surprised so many people picked Wilma but I guess it was close between Katrina and Wilma. The rest of the storms that season looked amazing except Beta.

It's hard to believe that such a powerful storm like katrina fell apart just prior to landfall. I find it hard to believe that dry air could rip it apart so fast. I've not heard of any shear affecting it so it had to be dry air. The water was extremely warm so it was not that. Any theories out there? I've heard some suggest the goverment seeded it. I dont know. Sometimes you wonder what all they do in those airplanes besides just get information.
