The CMC is c*$% for tropical development. I don't recall anytime last year where it beat out all the other models. The model run suggests conditions are unusually favorable, but has basically nothing else to say say about whether a storm will develop.

c*$% = c |- @ p. Must be a word filter replacement.

The water vapor looked dry down there last I saw, but as we all know things can change...

SORRY IF ANYONE IS DISSAPPOINTED ABOUT DEVELOPMENT IN THE CARIBBEAN, BUT THIS LOOKS MORE LIKE AN OVEN THAN A NICE PLACE TO DEVELOP IF YOU WERE A CYCLONE!!!

Today's HPC Update:

CARIBBEAN SEA...
THE CANADIAN MDL NO LONGER HAS THE POTENTIAL SUBTROP/TROP CYC MOVG
THRU THE LEEWARD ISLANDS AND ERN GREATER ANTILLES ON ITS 00Z RUN.
HOWEVER...THERE IS STILL A CLOSED CYC FORMED BY ENERGY FROM THE
TAIL END OF AN UPR TROUGH IN THE WESTERLIES RETROGRADING THRU THE
CARIBBEAN THIS PD...AND WITH DIFFLUENCE EAST OF THIS FEATURE...THE
DVLPMT OF A SFC LOW CANNOT BE RULED OUT. WILL SEE WHAT THE 12Z
RUNS GIVE US HERE EARLY THIS PM.
