I think polls are good. They give a quick snapshot of what the board thinks through objective means.

Until it gets "poll happy". There are so many polls now that I rarely poke my head in here anymore. The only reason I have lately is to get updates on the Aussie storms. Wading through all of the polls, and a lot of them seem to be repeats and repeats, gets to be a bit irritating.
