Couple notes on the center.

Closed, but not well defined. Its being jumpy, and wobbling around. It is not stable. There are some thunderstorms firing on the north side of the center, which is a good thing for development.

wow the thunderstorms are really blowing up around the north of the center

hey tampa bay keep your eyes opened

what is 25.8 celcius anyhow? (which are the cooler waters to the north of the storm.)

Not that unsurpising really,i wonder whether this sytem wil lbe similar to Alberto 06/ Allison 95, both looked a mess but still managed to get some decently high winds ad both went up the same region of waters at a similar time.

I think last year the SST's in the gulf were a pretty warmer then this year. This was a heavy contributing factor to Alberto's sudden rapid intensification.


Seems unlikely we'll be seeing that again with Barry.

Yep, got it. Just noting the Barry in the topic title mentions that's the NRL designation. We're all waiting for the NHC now :)
