More data from W4ZOO's APRS feed (Coral Springs I believe):

TEMP: 74F
WIND: 34MPH GUSTS: 48MPH
HUM: 93%
DEWPT: 72F
PRESS: 1010.3mb
RAIN: 3.32" in last 24hrs

I can't attest to this wx stations accuracy, nor can I say what time frame the sustained winds are (I'm just viewing the data via APRS, W4ZOO happens to be closest wx station on the air)

Ok now winds are at 26mph w/ 52mph gust, which is more in line with what I see outside.

We had a 1 second power outage around 9:15, but as of right now pwr is A-OK.

We lost power on Merritt Island from around 8 pm until about 9:30 pm this evening... don't know if it was storm related, as we weren't having any serious wind or rain at that poing, but thought I would mention it

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTH FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT

TORNADOES: THERE IS A MODERATE RISK OF TORNADOES ACROSS MAINLAND
SOUTH FLORIDA TONIGHT. A TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM. BE
PREPARED TO TAKE IMMEDIATE PROTECTIVE ACTION SHOULD A TORNADO
WARNING BE ISSUED FOR YOUR AREA.

FLOODING: THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS
SOUTH FLORIDA TONIGHT, AS DEEP TROPICAL MOISTURE CONTINUES TO MOVE
INTO THE AREA ON THE EAST SIDE OF TROPICAL STORM BARRY. RAINFALL
AMOUNTS TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY ARE FORECAST TO AVERAGE 2 TO 3
INCHES ACROSS THE AREA WITH ISOLATED AMOUNTS OF AROUND 5 INCHES.
EVEN THOUGH IT HAS BEEN DRY RECENTLY, THE HEAVY RAIN MAY CAUSE
FLOODING OF ROADWAYS AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS. MOTORISTS ARE URGED
TO EXERCISE CAUTION IF THEY ENCOUNTER WATER COVERED ROADWAYS.

RIP CURRENTS: EAST WINDS OF 20 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS WILL AFFECT
THE ATLANTIC COAST TONIGHT. THIS WILL CONTINUE TO RESULT IN A HIGH

RECOMMENDED DUE TO THE DANGER POSED BY RIP CURRENTS.

THUNDERSTORMS: THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS
THE AREA TONIGHT. A FEW CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING STRIKES, HEAVY

WIND: WIND GUSTS TO 55 MPH ARE POSSIBLE IN HEAVIER SHOWERS OR
THUNDERSTORMS THAT DEVELOP.

WAVES: EAST TO SOUTHEAST WINDS OF 20 TO 25 KNOTS TODAY WILL ALLOW
GULF STREAM SEAS AND THE OFFSHORE GULF WATERS TO BUILD TO 8 FEET
AND REMAIN AT THAT LEVEL THROUGH TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LIKELY SATURDAY ALONG WITH A CHANCE OF
THUNDERSTORMS. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL SATURDAY COULD LEAD TO
LOCALIZED STREET FLOODING.

WINDS OVER THE LOCAL WATERS WILL CONTINUE QUITE STRONG AT 20 TO 25
KNOTS BEFORE SUBSIDING SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY. THIS WILL
KEEP SEAS HIGH ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE GULF STREAM...BEFORE
SUBSIDING LATE SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO REPORT SEVERE WEATHER, FLOODING, AND
RAINFALL AMOUNTS OVER 3 INCHES.

Watch live from Pinellas Co. EOC real time weather conditions, Temp. gauge is incorrect (add about 10-12 degress) but every thing else appears correct. Note the pressure 999.0mb as I type.

Ya know all is right with the world again! It's Saturday morning and I don't have to work, hurricane season has started again, there's a tropical storm banging on the front door and I'm actually listening to rain hitting the bedroom window! Now, if only I could teach the dog to bring me my slippers. What a great day.
