That's mostly North Miami-Dade County, because areas like Kendall and South Miami-Dade County have only recieved one to two inches, at most. We are still waiting and hoping for more.

I'm in Pinecrest...we did not receive much rain, even considering last night. In fact, I doubt that even one inch fell. I know the airport and Hialeah got quite a bit of rain. It was pouring at work yesterday...but as I made my way home, sure enough, as I got closer, the rain faded to nothing.

Best news I think I've heard in a long time. It has been so dry. Driest it's been since I've lived here. This shot of rain coming infrom the golf is very welcomed by me. (just north of tampa bay area) Were at about 25% of normal rainfall. Saves me time with the hose

Send some of those 8inches in mia up here please :cheesy:

Now it's raining...probably at home too.

Of course, this disturbance will be passing in a few hours, and it will be back to bone-dry. I wonder what the extended forecast looks like.

How on earth are people so happy about rain? I hate it. I wish it would end. It ruins the day. It makes driving hard. Its depressing. I wish there was a long-term drought.

Then move to the desert where the climate is equiped to handle long periods without rain. Here you run into wild fires when it's bone dry. Begsides, if you have been following the topic, dry May can mean more tropical weather in S. FL.

Also, as you must know, living in Florida, rain is of huge importance for farmers, the aquifer, cleansing of the polluted Everglades etc. along with the continual cycle of weather - you remember those little arrows from land to sky and back right?
I understand though; here, tourists get bummed when it rains on their own personal parade while we're all clapping our hands that the cisterns are filling, the chance for fires are lessened and plants are greening up - unless it turns into mudslide city, that is.

It has been raining all day here in St. Cloud form drizzles to down pours, and it has finnaly stop. a 10 hr steady rainfall is very refreshing :rain:

After this rain episode it will be back to dry conditions again. The only fly in the ointment will be the seabreeze fronts which can cause showers if hteir no cap on the atmosphere.

We got lucky actually because ive been looking at rain total's and thanks to cloudcover there was a CAP on thunderstorm activity today.so it indeed rained today but the total's could have been alot higher.

Everyone should love the rain. These wildfires are killing me. You know Scorpion if this rain didn't come more houses would have been destroyed by wild fires caused by D R O U G H T S. Think about that.

Although we had this last episode of rain this drought is not over and rainy season is still not here. Relative humidities have to be over 70%.The models backed off on another episode of thunderstorms next week but now everything will be shunted east of Florida putting us in a dry NW flow.

No, the upper trough could take away some of the rain or severe weather but they still show a return of moisture to the area.

Looks like feast or famine here in NE Fla with indices ranging from the 200s to 600s and even in Duval Co alone, we have KBDIs of 300s to 500s

Doesnt look good with temps in the mid 90s and 20 mph dry west winds this weekend and into next week. Expect the KBDIs to increase again at least in N Fla. Red Flag warnings just expired for this evening here but a fire wx watch (at least) is in effect for tomorrow.
