We'll see if convection persist through the night time hours and into tommorow morning.

as I said before there is dry air west of the wave and there is high pressure siting on top of that dry air, however as storm moves west the gfs shows the high pressure dissipating and the low to no shear appears. right now i don't see much developement but if it hangs on for next 24 to 36 hours we may have something

link : under 300-850mb Shear Magnitude

Don't see much to inhibit this if it decides to start generating:

We'll need to monitor the island stations pressure and wind direction over the next 12-24 hours on this one for signs of development. Here is a good link for all the caribbean stations. Just double click the big red dot for station info.

A sign of potential development is red-ir bursting tops in the bands accompanied by a red-ir bursting center. This has both.

Any system that develops (or flares red ir) in the east Caribbean "zone" is telling you something right there alone.

The central convective area in the middle of the curved convection is 'sticking' in one spot - Another sign of surface organization.

Minuses: Too much dry air in the bands.

Look at how massive the area is. For example it takes up all of Florida with no problem...

On weather Channel website
The Sea "SURFACE" temperature of where the wave is positioned is at 83F to 84 F and as it moves W NW the temps will be in 85F the majority of the Gulf is at 86F

almost August. We are right on time with this one...

I've also noticed that here in South Florida we have finally got into the "deep summer" mode weather pattern with steady easterlies and pops over the everglades...
