Yes, indeed I am well aware of loading that and other loops when I had dial-up from March 1999 to November 2002.

To add to the big picture, check out the latest infrared of Africa. The so-called megabomb of last weekend has indeed traveled NW across Africa as predicted by the GFS and NOGAPS. There is convection in NW Africa that usually don't get much rain. Maybe this will have an affect on the Saharian Air Layer (SAL) and create a more favorable environment for CV waves.

Yes Tip agree on that as it never rains in the saharan dessert and In my lifetime looking at africa pics I had never seen so much rain there and that will cut the sal factor indeed.
