Atlantic-EPAC Scorecard

#1 Postby gatorcane » Sun Jun 29, 2008 9:47 am

EPAC: 3/0/0
Atlantic: 1/0/0

A 4th system may be on the way soon for the EPAC also....

Both basins have not produced any hurricanes yet.

It's normal for the EPAC to be ahead of the Atlantic at this point.

FYI, NOAA is forecasting a below average season with 11-16 named storms (is that a big enough gap? Why no just say 5-19 named storms?).

Should be noted that all the systems so far have had fairly low ACE levels which is very interesting to see, I consider that a more true reflection on the overall activity in either basin.

Of course the WPAC is way ahead in every way!

Even though EPAC is ahead I think Atlantic will be the winner this year.

Probably Sanibel given the long term trend has been for lower EPAC activity and higher Atlantic activity.

The scorecard will get to 4 in the EPAC as 96E continues to organize.
