1. There's a mesocyclone/shortwave dropping down through east Texas and into the GOM that some of the models may be picking up on.

2. An area of convection in the ITCZ at about 9N by 35W has more convection this morning. It may be too low in latitude to do much though.

I noticed the 9n 35w this AM, it is pretty far south
