Possible development south of Bermuda

#1 Postby Aric Dunn » Sat Jul 19, 2008 2:29 pm

Not even sure what to make of this. but yesterday i noticed a naked swirl south of brumuda and thought nothing of it.
But now all day today its been gaining convection and already has clear circualtion. It is small however but has great upper environment, warm water, and well nothing to stop it. if that convection keeps increasing we may see something try to get going....

I can't say that I see any spin - at least from the few images I have looked at.
Nice blowup of convection though.

I just noticed this feature while looking at loops of 94L. Looks like there could be some circulation.

It is an interesting little feature, convection does appear to be flaring up with a little circulation. This may have a chance of at least being made an invest looking at it right now.

8:00pm TWO:

A SMALL AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IS LOCATED ABOUT 350 MILES
SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF BERMUDA. THIS SYSTEM IS GENERATING A FEW
THUNDERSTORMS...BUT ENVIRONMENTAL CONDICTIONS ARE EXPECTED TO
BECOME UNFAVORABLE FOR DEVELOPMENT OVER THE NEXT DAY OR TWO.

It might even be closer to having a closed LLC then 94L. Small but I've seen small systems like this become tropical cyclones. So it needs to be watched.

When will this be called 97L, tonight or tomorrow?

Like the other question where will it go, will it move SE before NE or just go NE?

Looks like it's spinning clockwise?

It's not got much hope in the wake of Bertha if it moves north.
