Lets do a poll about how the ACE when all is set and done will be for the 2008 hurricane season.I have to stick with my guess of 124 that I put in the storm2k forecast numbers poll.The ACE for 2008 will be posted as updates come.

Hmmm I think I'm trending too low on my earlier forecast ACE, thus far indicators to me of thisd season being closer to a 1995 type season with regards to numbers...so IMO we have a good chance of getting into the top 10 all time highest ACE ever, not just in the last 50 years....but we will see how things progress through August.

I wil lnow go with a much higher 190... :eek:

some wheres around 180, I think my original guess in the seasonal forecast was much lower than this.

I would say the ACE be around 150 to 200.

I still don't what the hell people are talking about when they say ACE :lol: I guess I need to educate myself more. at first I thought it meant how long the storm has been around for... I meant to ask this question earlier, but didn't want to sound ignorant asking it.... :lol:

Its an index that combines the stregth of a storm and the length of a storm. ACE stands for Accumulated cyclone energy.
