Does anyone think there is potential in the west and south Caribbean? Looks a bit dicey there:

Dixie...I was wondering the same thing. There is an awful lot of convection down there but there is some shear also...I don't think any of the models show anything but if it holds together and is able to make it thru the straits and into the GOM then maybe it may beging to percolate...I think everyone is so pre-occupied with Edouard that they aren't really paying much attention to this...

Seems like from the latest satellite pictures that the convection has decreased significantly.
