Behind Josephine...wave emerging

The Grand Tropical Parade looks like it will continue. A new wave is currently emerging from western Africa and should be over water very soon. Located at about 10N/14W.

TROPICAL WEATHER DISCUSSION FOR NORTH AMERICA...CENTRAL
AMERICA...GULF OF MEXICO...CARIBBEAN SEA...NORTHERN SECTIONS OF
SOUTH AMERICA...AND ATLANTIC OCEAN TO THE AFRICAN COAST FROM THE
EQUATOR TO 32N. THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS BASED ON SATELLITE
IMAGERY...METEOROLOGICAL ANALYSIS...WEATHER OBSERVATIONS...AND
RADAR.

BASED ON 1200 UTC SURFACE ANALYSIS AND SATELLITE IMAGERY THROUGH
1715 UTC.
A LARGE CLUSTER OF MODERATE TO STRONG CONVECTION IS APPROACHING THE WEST COAST OF AFRICA...LIKELY ASSOCIATED WITH THE NEXT TROPICAL WAVE.
SCATTERED MODERATE/ISOLATED STRONG CONVECTION IS FROM 6N-10N
EAST OF 17W TO THE AFRICAN COAST.

Yep. Could this be yet another cyclone in the making? That would really be something, eh? :eek:

Considering that the second half of the hurricane season is usually more active than the first, we might well be looking at 22+ named storms this year!

That is one very nice-looking wave, and it's even further south than Josephine.

We could easily have 4 tropical storms at once if this encounters as favorable of conditions as Josephine did.
